My Bio

mybackgroundWhat I Am All About

In 2008, I began experiencing an intense internal desire to change careers and do something different with my life. For the first time, I hired a personal coach to help me focus and make sense of all my thoughts and dreams about my future, and to help me overcome the paralyzing fear and anxiety I felt about making such radical changes at this point in my life.

After personally experiencing the rapid insights and powerful clarity that coaching gave me, I realized that this was not only the exact career I had been looking for, but also a way for me to help others on their own personal journeys.

Biography

I am the eldest of five children and was born and raised in the beautiful Bay Area of California. After my high school graduation, my family moved back to their original home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I went on to attend college in South Carolina where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Administration and a minor in English.

Early in my career, I worked as an Executive Administrator for a law firm, was a writer of biographical sketches for the “Marquis Who’s Who” publications out of Chicago, and a technical writer/editor for a defense contractor (where I held a “SECRET” level clearance). In 1994, I became a licensed real estate agent in Texas, and went on to own and operate two small, but very successful real estate companies where I was a multi-million dollar producer for the next ten years. In 2006, I began working in-house at a commercial real estate company as their Office Manager, and then spent several years as their Contract Manager and creative writer.

In 2009, I received my ICF (International Coach Federation) Certified Coach Training, as well as additional training, through the Gardner Institute in Southlake, Texas, and am now actively coaching, leading Women in Transition workshops, writing and speaking .

Throughout the years, I have been an active member and volunteer with various business, social and philanthropic groups and organizations. In 2005, my youngest daughter and I received the “Mother/Daughter Volunteer Service Award” from the D/FW Metroport Chapter of National Charity League.

I am an avid organic flower gardener and love to work in my yard. I also enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, listening to great music and entertaining. I currently live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, and I have a grown son, and two daughters.
